1. Please tell us what you’ve been doing since graduating TST? –
Since graduation Trinity School of Texas in 2010. I went on to Graduate Morehouse College in 2014 with a B.A. in political science. Worked the past 8 years under U.S. Congressman John Lewis serving as special assistant. With a 2.5 year assignment at the Atlanta Airport serving as the government affairs deputy director in charge of all government officials and V.I.P. movement and state and federal legislation. I am currently a candidate for State Representative here in Georgia's 60th House District which includes parts of Atlanta, East Point, Forest Park, and College Park.
2. What does TST mean to you?
TST means family to me. It means a lot, TST is a great institution in which my younger brother and sister are still there until this day.
3. How did TST help prepare you for your life after TST?
TST helped me prepare for life by providing me with the necessary exposure to show me my own potential in regards to college and life choices after Trinity. Trinity is a family, who looks out for each other, and who makes sure that everyone has a equal chance at school and more importantly, life.
4. What is a favorite memory you have of TST?
My favorite memory is being apart of the first season and first team of 6 man football at Trinity, along with great teammates like Smith Houston , Evan Powers , Vivek Patel , & Luke Johnston. These were guys who gave it everything they had, in every sport as competed. Especially in a very rough sport such as football in our first year competing. It makes me feel good to see that we laid the ground work for such a great football program that Trinity has today , and that the current players are working very hard.
5. Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Thats a tough one. I would have to say Bridgette Hewitt, because even though I hated math with every last ounce of my body, and still do, she made it easy to understand , and also taught us life lessons which helped out along the way through college.
6. Feel free to add any additional comments
If there is any advice I can give current parents and students , it is to keep upholding the values that the school stands for , give your best in everything you reach for , and to keep treating each other as family. Trinity provides life long connections that last beyond the time you will spend at this great institution.
