Trinity School of Texas is pleased to offer an academic, international, college preparatory program for students from other countries. We work closely with Mrs. Terri Thrasher, a member of our community, who for over 22 years has been the coordinator and liaison for our international students and their families. From the very first phone call or e-mail, it is comforting to know there will be an experienced individual overseeing and counseling your child. Mrs. Thrasher's many responsibilities include: locating host families for living arrangements, preparing all legal documents, and coordinating the transportation and scheduling details. Once the student arrives at the airport, Mrs. Thrasher will take him or her by the hand and help the student adjust to a new environment. She supervises activities and examines the needs of each student. One of the strengths of our program is that Trinity School of Texas believes, unlike boarding schools, that international students develop rapid proficiency of the English language by living with an American host family. The host family receives monthly compensation in order to cover any costs incurred while the student is living with that family. Students will be responsible for spending money for entertainment and personal needs. The host family will provide transportation to all school activities.
