Since 1957 it has been the purpose of Trinity School of Texas to develop healthy, aware, caring and responsible citizens of good character, for it is in such citizens that our heritage is guaranteed for the future. The goal for each student is to reason with intellectual acuity, perceive with aesthetic sensitivity, and to appreciate the accomplishments of our heritage.

To function productively, such a citizen must be able to think well and independently while remaining constantly cognizant of his or her interdependence in the greater context. Students will realize that every part is crucial to the well-being of the whole, but no part is greater than the whole. Finally, the foregoing would be of little avail without the commitment to act to solve problems - in themselves, in their community and in the world. Trinity students have learned respect for our democratic traditions and Christian values so that they will act well and for the commonwealth.

In order to achieve these purposes, efforts will be directed toward
fulfilling the following objectives:

To educate the whole student - intellectually, spiritually and physically

To develop personal initiative and independence of mind

To help students develop the ability to weigh evidence and reach conclusions based on facts

To develop aesthetic appreciation through the study of the arts

To promote healthy competition, both in physical education classes and in interscholastic sports

To promote a healthy self-regard in the knowledge that each individual is a beloved child of God

To reinforce instruction through additional resources and enrichment learning

To promote tolerance of that which is different or unfamiliar, rejection of that which is wrong, and the values to distinguish between the two

To promote a world view which is sensitive to the social, economic, and cultural differences of others

To enable students to work with others successfully in a variety of settings

To help students accept responsibility for the care of the environment

To promote social awareness through community service

To encourage participation in student government as a reflection of self-government and in preparation for leadership in society

To provide an ordered and safe environment in which success can be realized

To assist students in learning how to seek knowledge on their own and to imbue them with a love of life-long learning
